Prior experience in gene transcriptional regulation, bioinformatics, or use of mouse models is preferred.
Two Post-doctoral positions Cancer Epigenetics and cancer genome organization Huang Lab at the Penn State Cancer Institute is currently accepting applications for entry- and senior-level postdoctoral/Scientist positions. The lab focuses on lncRNA mediated cancer epigenetics and cancer genome organization. Our current research centers on: 1) Investigating the underlying mechanisms by which transcription factors and 3D genome organization control gene expression, lineage differentiation, and leukemogenesis. 2) Delineating the role of long noncoding RNAs in regulating CTCF/cohesin TAD boundary function and cancer genome organization. We utilize a variety of approaches including cell biology, bioinformatics, proteomics, next generation sequencing and genome editing, single cell technologies, and mouse models to study these questions. Here are representative recent publications from Huang lab (Luo et al., Blood 2018, 132: 837-848; Luo et al., Cancer Cell 2019, 36: 645-659; Zeisig et al., Science Translational Medicine 2021, 13 (482): eabc4822; Li et al., Nucleic Acid Res. 2020 48:3119-3133; Zhu et al., Nature Communications 2021, 12 (1): 1956 (Doi: 10.1038/s41467-021-22095-2); Luo et al., Molecular Cell 2022, 82: 833-851) . Candidates should have obtained a PhD or an MD/PhD degree in the fields of Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Biomedical Science. Prior experience in gene transcriptional regulation, bioinformatics, or use of mouse models is preferred.
