China Medical Innovation Alliance founded in December

On December 23, China Medical Innovation Alliance（CMIA）Summit 2017 was held in Beijing. 40 academic leaders, including 16 academicians from Chinese Academy of Science and Chinese Academy of Engineering, and 33 research-oriented hospitals jointly announced the launch of CMIA.

Innovation drives medical science to progress, but the innovative ideas can only make difference with industrial supports. That’s why CMIA, a platform connecting all parties from medical industry, is created.

CMIA is a national, comprehensive platform for academicians and industry to cooperate, with CN-Healthcare media as its secretariat. The organization, launched by Chinese Academy of Science academician Ge Junbo, CN-Healthcare media, medical innovative talents and research hospitals, follows the principle of “voluntary and equal, fair and equitable, honesty and credibility, mutual benefit”.

CMIA has 4 features:

First, it has a strong lineup. With Ge Junbo as the initiator, 15 other academicians from Chinese Academy of Science and Chinese Academy of Engineering joined as sponsors, followed by renowned hospital executives such as Li Weimin, Xiong Lize, Dai Tao and so on, as well as China’s top hospitals including Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Southwest Hospital, Ruijin Hospital and Zhongshan Hospital.

Second, CMIA’s member covers healthcare organizations, universities, research institutions, pharmacy corporations and investment companies, making a whole industrial chain to transform medical innovative achievements.

Thirdly, it has more than one mission, with drive innovation trends, train researchers, establish innovation mechanism, and spread outstanding cases as the key ones.

Last, CMIA employs diversified activities to make innovative ideas come true, including investigation, contest, conference, train etc.
