CN-Healthcare Signed MoU with AP-HP to Bring Its Best Practices and Experience to China

On September 27, 2018, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed jointly between CN-Healthcare, AP-HP and AP-HP International during the 7th Chinese Hospital Clinical Specialty Construction and Development Forum held by CN-Healthcare and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. The signed MoU is to promote cooperation on healthcare technology, talents training, telemedicine and healthcare management by bridging together China’s healthcare industry and AP-HP. 

This marks CN-Healthcare’s boarding on a stage to sketch a blueprint of building a connection among the whole world’s best healthcare services. CN-Healthcare has long been working for the mission of “For a better healthcare”, which can now be interpreted with one further connotation, namely, “For a better connection of the world’s best healthcare”.

“Seeds of Ideas” to “Fruits of Actions”

The story starts from the year of 2014 when CN-Healthcare and AP-HP first met. In 2014, Ms. Zhao Hong, founder and CEO of CN-Healthcare visited AP-HP and exchanged ideas with the newly on-board AP-HP CEO Martin Hirsch on healthcare development in both China and France. At that time, a seed of the idea on cooperation had been sowed between the 2-year-old CN-Healthcare and the new AP-HP CEO. The two maintained a close contact since then.

In April 2018, Martin Hirsch was invited to attend “2018 Boao CN-Healthcare Summit”. During the 4 days summit, Martin was deeply impressed by the fact that China has already set up cooperative partnerships with so many multinational healthcare organizations. He found out that China’s public hospitals share so many similarities with AP-HP and there is a large space for both sides to draw experiences from. Then, actions are made to nourish the seed of cooperation ideas. Martin invited CN-Healthcare to have another visit to AP-HP.

In May 2018, CN-Healthcare delegation led by CEO Ms. Zhao Hong visited several hospitals of AP-HP accompanied by Martin Hirsch and joined in AP-HP's opening day activities. The delegation experienced how patients, doctors, hospitals and the society can be blended together in a harmonious way, witnessed the new technologies and information that can be developed through a shared healthcare industry, and had a deeper understanding of AP-HP’s clear-cut management system, the development of major specialties in a characteristic way, and its sophisticated medical innovation and translation.

Well-prepared to Cooperate

Since its establishment in 2012, CN-Healthcare has long been committed to promoting the integration of health and healthcare. It has now become a group company with 190 employees in about 6 years. Total hospital beds in AP-HP alone account for 10% of the nation’s total. It is also the home to Europe’s first bio-medical research center. 

Pursuing the Common Goal with the Same Passion

During the opening day activities, Zhao Hong was deeply impressed by AP-HP’s profound humanistic value in healthcare. She said, “AP-HP’s best practices in fairness, public welfare, responsibility and respect to life are all common goals that CN-Healthcare has long been pursuing and upholding, the same is true to the core value of public hospitals. It is my sincere hope that we can not only learn professional skills but also acquire a certain value through the partnership.”

“This is to a greater extent driven by a kind of passion. There are so many people with such kind of passion in healthcare industry, they supported me, influenced me and motivated me in my pursuit of carrying forward the healthcare enterprise, and Martin Hirsh is among one of them”, Zhao stated.

Meanwhile, Martin Hirsh saw multiple common grounds in healthcare systems of both China and France. According to him, “we both pay highly importance to an updated and modernized healthcare system, wish to be a pioneer in leading new technologies and high-quality services; and the people of both nations have strong trust and confidence in their own healthcare system especially in teaching hospitals”

CN-Healthcare, AP-HP and AP-HP International will soon carry out real actions on cooperation.
